Brainstorm blog 1

For the Zine project, i want to focus on kind of representing the experience of taking drugs at a festival. I think there are a lot of subtopics in it which will be cool to use photoshop to explore, like the different sensory experiences, the way the music & lights interplay, & then maybe later go into the emotions of the comedown & paranoia that sometimes come into play. I went to a really cool festival over break, & i just want to kind of find a way to represent that. I think i will do a lot of bright & neon colours, with some hard contrasts & stuff. Hopefully it will look cool. I hopefully want to make something where all the images / photos can come together, or be cool individually, so maybe i could hang some of the pages up.

I think zines are cool & i am excited for this project, I haven’t had much experience making them, nor photoshops, but i am excited to see what i can make & it will be cool at the end to have all the zines & stuff. I only found out what a zine was last year when a girl i knew published her poems in one, so it will be cool to make one that doesn’t include or use words to tell the story.
