Brainstorm blog 3

For my animation video, I want to create a piece that is inspired & kind of encapsulates my experience at my very unique boarding school. In freshman year, i went to a boarding school in the middle of the mountains, where there was no access to the internet or technology, you had to cut wood to light a fire for a hot shower, & very week we hiked for 3 days. My whole year is captured in a series of photos from disposable cameras, as well as journal entry’s & letters i had written. I want to create a mixed media piece that uses both some animation of those images & things, as well as some hand drawn animations to kind of create a reliving experience. With the transitions into another dimension coming from reading those letters & getting into the world of my experience, i kind of want the video to show some of the different aspects. By using some letters & journal entry’s for narration, i want to create a kind of overview of some of the different aspects, probably starting with a hike, & that being a main component of the animation (> 1 minute) i want to use some different scenes to show this. I then want to get into some of my faintest aspects of it, like the skiing & some of my friends, & then show some not so pleasant parts of it. The main actual video parts will be about finding the box & opening the letters.
